Le Meridien Sentosa Review Summary

Formerly called the Moevenpick Heritage Hotel, the Le Meridien Sentosa lets you escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and lets you relax in Sentosa island, just 15 minutes away from downtown Singapore.

Situated close to the beaches and Sentosa’s key attractions, the beautiful hotel is ideal for family vacations and guests who want a balance between convenience and peace away from the urban rush of the city.

Guests can also enjoy the complimentary shuttle service to and from VivoCity and ION Orchard shopping mall from Mondays to Saturdays.

Le Meridien Sentosa Location

Staying in Le Meridien means being a heartbeat away from Universal Studios Singapore and the Resorts World, as well as beaches if you ‘d rather enjoy sunsets at the Tanjong Beach Club than hitting the malls downtown.

While it isn’t the idea location for shoppers or business meetings, the Sentosa Express makes travel into the city a breeze. The only possible drawback is that the trains run till midnight, so heading back to the hotel after a night out would mean taking a taxi.

Le Meridien Singapore offers a wide variety of rooms to cater to travellers, from couples to families. The Heritage rooms feature contemporary Asian interiors, and the unique Onsen Suites feature a sheltered Jacuzzi for private relaxation.

Not all rooms have great views, and some of the rooms on the lower levels may have unsightly views of external aircon units. Be sure to ask for rooms on the higher floors if possible.

Rooms also feature complimentary wired and wireless Internet access.

Le Meridien Sentosa Facilities and Pool

The hotel features an outdoor lap pool and a reasonably well-equipped gym. The pretty lap pool isn’t particularly big considering that it’s a 191-room hotel. But, considering that you have the beach just minutes away, you could get your tanning and swimming fix easily.

Le Meridien Sentosa Singapore Service and Price

Service at Le Meridien is average in general, neither particularly dismal nor impressive. Housekeeping service could be a little slow at times when it comes to replenishing room toiletries.

On average, the per night price ranges from to SGD 279 for the Classic Room to about SGD 2700 per night for the Penthouse suite with a private pool.

Additional Advice

Le Meridien Singapore Sentosa had just taken over the old Movenpick hotel in June 2016, so teething problems in operations may be expected.

Le Meridien Sentosa Review Verdict and Score

7.8/10. A good choice if Sentosa is your preferred location.
