Quick Travel Guide: Singapore to Hanoi

Hanoi - East meets West

Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and one of the most rapidly developing cities in Southeast Asia. Escaping largely unscathed from the war, Hanoi is an amazing blend of East and West, Old and the New. (It is also the only city in Southeast Asia where you can find the best French bread!) If you're thinking of traveling to Hanoi for your holiday, we've got some travel facts for you right here!

There are three airlines operating scheduled flights between Singapore and Hanoi.

Singapore Airlines operates 7 flights/week.

Vietnam Airlines operates 14 flights/week.

Silkair operates 4 flights/week.

Flight Time

If you’re coming from Singapore – Changi Airport, the flight will take about 3 hours and 30 minutes to reach Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi).

Getting Around Hanoi

Taxis are a convenient way to get around but our recommendation is to only use reputable and reliable taxi companies - Hanoi Group Taxi and Mai Linh Taxi. Watch out for scams!

From the airport, you can get a taxi for about USD$16 or ask your hotel to dispatch a driver to pick you up.

Electricity and Plugs

The electrical outlets in Hanoi, and throughout Vietnam, provide the standard 220V and use the A and C type plugs.

Currency Exchange

Currently, SGD 1 is about 16,600 VND (Vietnamese Dong)
